What is the Pre-Built Site option?

When you go to setup your Website Tonight for the first time you have the option of selecting pre-built sites. This option confuses some as they assume that they want to completely build their site from scratch and they choose blank site instead. So what exactly is a pre-built site and how can it benefit you?

Well simply put a pre-built site is exactly what it sounds like, a site that is already created, but not entirely.  As you might have noticed there are many categories to choose from when selecting a template in Website Tonight. If you choose pre-built then most of the finalizing for that particular category is already completed for you. Basically the developers have created a “skeleton” of what a website might look like based on the category you have chosen. The navigation buttons, heading titles, pages, layout, etc. is already in place, you only need to change the images and put in your relevant content on each page.

Pre-Built Sites are still completely customizable. If you do not like the layout on a particular page, or the title of a page, or any other feature of your pre-built site, you can still modify it to look exactly how you want it. You are still in charge of the color scheme, layout, navigation, and every other facet of the site.

So what is the benefit of choosing a pre-built site? Well they are an excellent way to see the possibilities of your site when you publish it. They also take out a lot of the minor details to creating your site, such as creating the navigation between pages for you. For those in a hurry to get a site up, or those who want the easiest option available, we happily endorse using the pre-built site option.
